Life I'm alive and well and living on Long Island with my wonderful husband of 337 1/2 yrs. (Ralph Cipriano - Deer Park (L.I.) High School. (We met at Sullivan Co. Comm. College - Long live the Catskills!!), our 5 children, 2 boys and 3 girls, ages 14-31 (all 5 still live with us courtesy of this economy and real estate prices - one teaches elementary school, another's a fabrication assistant, and one is a home health aide), another is a 2nd year college student studying the culinary arts, our collie shepherd and our cat. Have been homeschooling since 1985, co-run a homeschooling informational and support group with my husband, and write and occasionally speak as a homeschool advocate. I also work part-time at night as a research interviewer for a marketing company. Still singing publicly, usually accompanied by our 28 year old son on guitar. Also helping my hubby renovate our home in between it all. Life's biggest surprise for me? That although it didn't happen where I thought it would (I NEVER pictured myself on Long Island), so far, for the most part, things have happened for me that I wanted to have happen, but it came dearer cost than I thought it would. Lots of sacrifice, lots of hard work, Still, I would have chosen it. It's been worth it. I know how rare a gift it all is and I treasure it. What would I do over? I'd have had more self-esteem and confidence in myself much sooner. I'd also have missed that nasty car accident I had in the '90s. Wierdest job ever? I homeschool my kids - LOL.
